“Cochlear implantation” in Iran

One of the achievements and hopes of medical science for deaf children has been cochlear implantation, which can lead them to a normal life with the gift of hearing. It should be noted that cochlear implantation began in Iran in 1993, and since that year, about 29 years have passed since the beginning of cochlear implantation in the country, more than 16,000 cases of cochlear implantation have been performed throughout the country, which means giving hearing to children who had no sound in their lives.
