{"id":892,"date":"2023-08-13T15:45:13","date_gmt":"2023-08-13T12:15:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/muslimpress.com\/?p=892"},"modified":"2023-08-13T15:45:13","modified_gmt":"2023-08-13T12:15:13","slug":"saudi-adventurer-traces-prophet-muhammads-hijra-route","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/muslimpress.com\/?p=892","title":{"rendered":"Saudi adventurer traces Prophet Muhammad\u2019s Hijra route"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-highlight\">\n<ul>\n<li>Badr Al-Shaibani traced and documented Prophet Muhammad\u2019s historic journey to Madinah over a span of 12 days<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"entry-content\" data-io-article-url=\"https:\/\/www.arabnews.com\/node\/2262306\/saudi-arabia\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1581406038831-5\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden\">\n<div class=\"field-items\">\n<div class=\"field-item even\">\n<p>JEDDAH: A Saudi athlete, adventurer and entrepreneur has completed an epic 500-km trek from Makkah to Madinah tracing Prophet Muhammad\u2019s footsteps along the Hijra route.<\/p>\n<p>Badr Al-Shaibani traced and documented Prophet Muhammad\u2019s historic journey to Madinah over a span of 12 days.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Shaibani, who walked 40 km everyday, said that the \u201cexpedition\u2019s goal was to highlight a journey that changed the course of history.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWork is currently underway with relevant authorities to mark and document the migration route, as well as train individuals to travel the historic route as part of tourist excursions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He passed 12 significant spots, including Cave Thawr, where the prophet and his companion Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq sought refuge after fleeing from Quraish soldiers; an unnamed site where he rested on a rock; and Wadi Qudaid.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Shaibani added: \u201cThis epic voyage, which needed five years of painstaking planning, has a special place in my heart among all the experiences I\u2019ve had so far.<\/p>\n<p>The most remarkable feature of the expedition was the nightly stay in Cave Thawr, where the prophet once took sanctuary.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing in the same place as the Prophet of Allah was an unbelievable thrill and happiness that I will never forget. I was as happy and emotional at the end of my adventure as I was when I reached the summit of Mount Everest,\u201d Al-Shaibani said.<\/p>\n<p data-gtm-vis-recent-on-screen-109681369_148=\"34404\" data-gtm-vis-first-on-screen-109681369_148=\"34404\" data-gtm-vis-total-visible-time-109681369_148=\"100\" data-gtm-vis-has-fired-109681369_148=\"1\">The adventurer said that he has climbed the highest peaks of all seven continents.
